Results: Groundhog Day Results?

Groundhog Day is a traditional festival celebrated in the United States and Canada on February 2. It is a cross-quarter day, midway between the Winter Solstice and the Vernal Equinox.
What were the result of Groundhog Day 2010? Did the Groundhog got scared by his own shadow? Should we expect a long winter?
Or was it the opposite? Please let me know the results of Groundhog Day, I missed the whole thing.

Punxsutawney Phil indicated that he had seen his shadow after emerging from his temporary burrow.
Tradition says that if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow on Groundhog Day, winter weather will continue for six more weeks across the United States. But if Phil doesn't see his shadow, then spring temperatures are just around the corner.
The little animal saw his shadow so we should expect more cold temperatures in 2010.
If you believe the hype, there has been only one Phil since 1887, and he is the only one true prognosticator among many imitators.

The legend of Groundhog Day is based on an old Scottish couplet: "If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there will be two winters in the year."
