Easy 7 Layer Dip Recipe: How to Make it?

I'm looking for an easy hot 7 layer dip recipe, this is the first time I'm preparing it.
I'm not sure how to make it.

I've been looking at some easy recipes, some say serve cold, some say serve hot, what in your experience is better?

It doesn't have to be for a big serving, i just had 7 layer dip at a party and want the recipe.

I recently had a party with some people who enjoy good Mexican food...and they enjoyed this recipe.

I have never added salsa but I bet it would be great! I have also added chopped green onions. It is always great no matter the variation.

Seven Layer Dip Recipe

1 16 oz can refried beans
1 8 oz container sour cream
1 cup guacamole
1 cup pico de gallo or salsa
1 2.25 oz can black olives, chopped or sliced
1 1 oz package of taco seasoning
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese.

Directions:

In a small bowl mix taco seasonings and refried beans. Spread mixture in a pie plate sized platter. Next, layer sour cream followed by the guacamole and salsa. Top off with Cheddar cheese, chopped olives, and green onions. Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy.

7 layer dip is better the fresher it is but its still delicious for a couple of days afterward as long as its in the fridge.
