Would Stephen King's "It" be appropriate for 13 year olds?

Would this movie be appropriate for 13 year olds? Like, any disturbing images, extreme gory scenes, sexual content and stuff like that I need to watch out for? I have never seen this, so lots of info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

I remember watching "It" when I was a little kid, I think I was 7 or 8.
That clown was so scary! I knew it was going to be a scary movie and I remember my brother saying the movie was awesome because it was based on a Stephen King book, but I never thought it was going to be that scary.
I think I had trouble to sleep after that but it only lasted for a couple of days. When I watched it again I liked it and then I watched like 5 more times.

"It" is definitely a classic.

Is it appropriate for a 13 year old kid? I would say yes.
I think you can handle a movie like "it" when you're 13.

The movie is not that scary. To me, after reading the book, the movie was kinda funny. The book was really scary.
You won't find many inappropriate things in the movie, it's about a clown that scares little kids.
