Do I Qualify For Food Stamps?

I am a stay at home mother to a ten month old little boy and I would like to know if I qualify for food stamps. To save a little time I just figured I'd ask on this website.

What are the requirements for a family of 3 for food stamps?
Please let me know.

You may qualify for Food Stamps if you can answer yes to all these questions:

1. Are you or your children a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident?

2. Is the sum total of your household's cash on hand, bank accounts, and other accounts less than or equal to $2000?

3. Is your household's gross monthly income within the limits to the right?

About how many food stamp you can receive, it will depend on the size of your household:

Size Maximum Amount
1 > $162
2 > $298
3 > $426
4 > $542
5 > $643
6 > $772
7 > $853
8 > $975

I guess you have to apply to find out for sure.

I applied for food stamps like ten years ago. I got rejected. And I think I got rejected because I was a student.

It depends on the restrictions set forth by your local government, and varies from state to state.
I suggest you visit foodstamphelp.org.

Or you could have just decided not to be a failure and you wouldn't have to depend on the work of others to support you.
