Mass Save Appliance Rebate Program?

Massachusetts Appliance Rebate Savings program began today and is giving away rebates to select Energy Star appliances purchased in Massachusetts.
For how long is the Mass Save Appliance Rebate Program going to be active?

The MassSave Appliance Rebate program officially lasts from April 22 to May 5, but you may want to act quick, as the rebates could go fast.

The much-anticipated Massachusetts Mass Save Great Appliance Exchange program offers hundreds in rebates on new freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and refrigerators. But Mass Save’s Web site and telephone lines were so overloaded that many consumers were locked out.

The website was down for some time.

In an Earth Day bid to stimulate the state economy and save on energy costs, the Massachusetts state distributed about $5.6 million in federal stimulus dollars in the form of $50 to $250 rebates to Massachusetts residents who agreed to trade in old, inefficient appliances for energy-efficient refrigerators, clothes washers, driers, dishwashers and freezers. An extra $2 million was provided for residents who put their names on a waiting list.

To get a Mass Save Rebate Reservation number and form, call 1-877-627-9271 (1-87MA-SWAP) or go to www.masssave.com/residential

When you obtain this number, pick out your appliance and mail in the Mass Save Rebate form in with your sales receipt and a copy of your most recent electric bill.
