Boof Bonser Surgery?

The Red Sox just announced that they have acquired right-hander Boof Bonser from the Twins for a player to be named later.
Boof Bonser was considered one of the top pitching prospects in baseball after being selected in the first round of the 2000 draft by the Giants, but injuries have largely derailed him. In the article it is also mentioned he had a surgery. What surgery was that and how is Boof doing now?

Boof Bonser missed the 2009 season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery in February to repair partial tears to the labrum and rotator cuff in his right shoulder. Boof Bonser made one rehabilitation appearance on September 6 for the Twins Single-A Fort Myers affiliate, tossing 1.0 scoreless frame.
He's fully recovered from the surgery now.
