Martin Luther King Day 2011 Date?

When is Martin Luther King day in 2011?
I know it is on January 2011 but I don't remember the specific date.

Is Martin Luther King Day a national and a federal holiday? Is there going to be mail on that day? What about banks, are they going to be open or is it a bank holiday?

I know for sure there is no school on that day but can you please let me know about all the other places?
Also, is the stock market closed on Martin Luther King Day?

Martin Luther King Day is a Federal holiday. In other words, all States recognize it.

I think that although MLK day is a federal holiday some businesses are still open and mail will continue with its regular delivery schedule.

But there is no "regular" mail, including Priority Mail, delivered on Federal holidays. Express Mail is the only service of the USPS that is delivered on holidays.

Most schools, banks, and government offices are closed on Martin Luther King day. Few stores will be open, and you're unlikely to find any special sales.
