Broken Femur Recovery Time?

According to Vikings coach Brad Childress, linebacker E.J. Henderson broke his femur during the contest against the Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix Sunday night.
Just wanted to know what's the recovery time for a broken femur.
While trying to tackle Cardinals running back Tim Hightower, Henderson collided with teammate Jamarca Sanford, flipping over before laying on the ground in obvious pain.
Will he recover quickly? What the approximate recovery time for a person who has a broken femur?

The femur is the strongest and thickest bone in the body. It connects the hip joint and the knee joint. It takes an extremely strong force to break a femur. Sport injuries, car accidents and falls are the most likely causes of a broken femur.

My best friend broke his femur a few years back 11 months from now you won't even remember it.

The recovering time is like a year.

He said the Vic's worked but herb was much much better, after a few months you will be so used to it. He drove a manual car for months with his leg cast wedged into the door.

He loved ping pong to get rid of some of the stiffness but I don't think that's the best idea.
