Lunar Eclipse 2011 in North America Photos?

A lunar eclipse is taking place this month, June 2011, it is when the earth comes between the moon and the sun.

The 2011 lunar eclipse was enhanced today because of the amount of ash in the atmosphere.

Scientists said the specific phenomenon - known as a 'deep lunar eclipse' - often exudes a coppery color.

The moon entered the darkest part of the earth’s shadow at 4.23am, before turning a deep shade of blood-red in total eclipse at 5.22am.
The red hue is partially due to light scattering and also to the dust in the atmosphere.

Google’s home page had a doodle showing a live feed of the lunar eclipse from images from telescope service Slooh.
This eclipse was notable for several reasons, one of them is that the moon went right through the center of Earth's shadow.
