Is The Mayan Calendar 2012 Prediction Wrong?

For those who believe firmly on doomsday, I've heard that maybe, the 2012 Mayan Calendar Prediction is wrong. I think it could be possible because the world seems to have some years remaining before it's destroyed, what do you think?
I can't even imagine something like the Apocalypse taking place this year.
Maybe the 2012 Mayan Calendar prediction is wrong because the human race itself will bring the world to an end, but it could also be true. We were smart enough to land on the moon, we are special. What are your thoughts about this subject? Do you think the Mayan Calendar 2012 prediction is wrong or is it true?

The Mayan Calendar prediction for 2012 about the end of the world is definitely wrong. It was told in the news a short time ago. The Mayan Calendar prediction which says that the world will end on December 21, 2012, may be based on a miscalculation and therefore, be wrong. According to recent research by specialists, the mythological date of the "end of days" may be off by 50 to 100 years.
I don't see a clear reason for the end of the world. I mean, are we going to get hit by a meteorite? Is it going to be the sun?
Whether it's wrong or not, the 2012 Mayan Calendar prediction is strange and I don't believe in it.
