Mark Teahen Trade Rumors?

If the White Sox have acquired Mark Teahen from the Kansas City Royals for Chris Getz and Josh Fields as the New York Daily News was reporting this morning, it was news to Getz.
I saw him on tv this morning and he said: "I have no idea what's going on."
So are the trad rumors real? Is Mark Teahen being traded?

According to the report, Teahen was acquired to fill the void left in right field with the expected departure of Jermaine Dye to free agency. But if the versatile Teahen is now a South Sider, the deal could have been made to move Gordon Beckham to second base.

The White Sox have confirmed the trading rumors. It's Teahen for Getz and Fields.

Teahen, who is expected to replace Jermaine Dye in right field, hit .271 with 12 home runs, 50 RBI and 69 runs.
Adding Getz and Fields certainly gives the Royals some options next season, especially if they can improve on their 2009 numbers. Playing in the same division should certainly play to their benefit.
