James Wernke Found?

A body believed to be that of missing California athlete James Wernke has been found. The body was found near a flood control basin in Fullerton, close to the area where authorities have been searching for James Wernke.
Could thi body be his?
Cops say that they believe James Wernke wandered into the creek during a rain storm, when the current was at full force, and may have fallen in.
So it's not a murder after all.
I'd like to know what you think. Has James Wernke been found? Was it just an accident?

There is no word on how he died.

The police is saying that they have found the body of James Wernke who disappeared Saturday while taking his girlfriend's dog for a walk.
So I guess they found him.

James Wernke was last seen at 1:30 p.m. local time Saturday leaving the house of his longtime girlfriend’s mother. James Wernke was at the house to walk the family dog.
Wernke reportedly left his wallet and keys at the house when he went out to walk the yellow Labrador in the rain.

Authorities checked the tapes from video surveillance cameras at the 7-11, but they did not yield any leads.

James Wernke, the Orange County baseball star is thought to have fallen into the creek during a rain storm, when the current was at full force. It wasn't a murder.
At least his parents will have peace now that he was found.

James Wernke was a major at Santa Ana College and had just landed a baseball scholarship at Cal State Long Beach. Poor kid he was only 21. Good thing he was found.

James Wernke disappeared Saturday while walking a yellow Labrador retriever, which remains missing. Do you think his pet is dead too? Maybe the pet tried to save him, animals are so smart.
