Gluten Free Diet: Weight Loss?

Many people are allergic to gluten and are looking for a weight loss program using a gluten free diet.
I can actually tolerate gluten but I'm interested in the diet, since I've been told it works.
After trying other diets, I want to give this one a try and see if it works for me.
I've been warned about the strictness concerning the food list, but I'm still interested.

Is a gluten free diet healthy for your body? Does it really works?
