Iron Chef: Cristeta Comerford?

I saw Cristeta Comerford on Iron Chef today. She's the white house chef right?
How did Cristeta Comerford manage to get that job, did she do something special? It must be an honor to be cooking for the president of the united states. Cristeta Comerford is one of the luckiest chefs in the world.

First Lady Michelle Obama and her White House executive chef Cristeta Comerford will appear on tonight's special two-hour episode of the Food Network's "Iron Chef America."

In an episode filmed this summer of Top Chef, three professional chefs and White House chef Cristeta Comerford are welcomed by the first lady and allowed to use anything found in the garden to create their meals.

Cristeta Comerford took the job in 2005 and is the first woman and first minority to serve as executive chef.

She is a lucky chef.

"Cristeta Comerford brings such incredible talent to the White House operation and came very highly regarded from the Bush family," Michelle Obama said in a statement released by the transition team. "Also the mom of a young daughter, I appreciate our shared perspective on the importance of healthy eating and healthy families."
