Jabulani Ball?

Called the adidas JABULANI, which means ‘to celebrate’ in the Bantu language of IsiZulu, adidas say the ball will please both outfield players and goalkeepers as it has been designed to fly through the air with deadly accuracy, even at altitude. Additionally, goalies will be doubtless happy with an exceptional surface grip.
The Jabulani ball looks sick. What do you guys think about the ball?

The new ball is amazing!
Eleven different colours are used on the adidas “JABULANI”, representing the 11 players in every team, the 11 official languages of South Africa and the 11 South African tribes that make the country one of the most ethnologically diverse countries on the African continent. The four triangle-shaped design elements on a white background lend the ball a unique appearance in African spirit. And like the outer facade of Johannesburg’s Soccer City Stadium, individual design elements also capture the colourfulness of South Africa.
Also the ball is nothing like all the other balls.
The adidas ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup features completely new, ground-breaking technology. Eight 3-D spherically formed EVA and TPU panels are moulded together, resulting in an energetic unit combined with perfect roundness.

Crazy what they did with this

It's all made of 3D parts, so it's not trying to make a ball out of flat shapes. I know they said the last one was the 'roundest ball ever' but this should be awesome.

It also seems to be heavy - so that might stop some of the swerviness we've seen with other balls.

I'm so psyched for this World Cup. In the absence of Team Canada I'm all GO USA! (hope they beat the English)

Love the closeup pics.

Quick tip

Um, it's a little bit politically incorrect to refer to an indigenous South African language as a 'Bantu language' as 'Bantu' is an old apartheid term for black people which can be offensive. isiZulu -or Zulu as it's commonly known- is considered -along with some of South Africa's 11 official languages- as a member of the Nguni group of languages.

Jabulani is a common name for a boy. It means 'be happy' or 'celebrate' and implies that the bearer of the name brings joy! Sweet!
