Should Book Titles Be Underlined?
There are important rules for the proper use of titles, the style and format in which you write a title talks about your text I think.
How should I use titles?
When you write a book title, are you supposed to underline it, italicize it or put it inside of quotes?

Underlining is ONLY used when you are handwriting a paper.

Currently the correct MLA format is to put a book title in italics if you are writing your paper on a word processor.

So it's underline for when you are writing by hand and italicize for when you are typing it.

Also only certain types of texts should be underlined or italicized. These include: novels, other book-length prose works, journal and newspaper titles, plays, and epic poems.
Good luck with your work.

Book titles should ALWAYS be underlined or italicized. Make sure to use proper grammar and spelling! Here's a helpful guide to proper grammer in writing.
Hope it suits you well.
